Daniel Myungkyu Kim is a dental student at the Oregon Health & Science University School of Dentistry. He earned his first bachelor’s degree in Media Studies from the University of California, Berkeley and later received a second Bachelor of Science degree in General Science from Portland State University, graduating summa cum laude.

Before pursuing dentistry, Kim spent nearly a decade as a photojournalist covering environmental and public health issues. These experiences inspired his transition into healthcare and sparked an interest in pursuing research that can improve patient health outcomes.
