Samantha Williams is a rising senior at Spelman College from Dallas, TX. She plans to pursue dentistry and dental research to discover innovative treatment methods for craniofacial disorders. In pursuit of her research goals, she studied collagen IX in the periodontal ligament at Texas A&M School of Dentistry and apoptosis in Leishmaniasis parasites at Morehouse College. Additionally, Samantha completed Spelman’s Data Science Summer Program studying sleep differences in numerous sex chromosomes. Outside of academics, she crochets and hangs out with friends and family.
