Katie Crofton is a rising senior at Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. She is pursuing a degree in biology and aims to advance her scientific education in graduate school. She has conducted significant research at her college, focusing on the function of organelles during conjugation in Tetrahymena thermophila. Beyond her academic pursuits, Katie enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending quality time with friends. She is thrilled to join OHSU’s summer research program and is eager to gain valuable experience that will enhance her future academic career.
